Banana Chip Bread
There's nothing like the smell of freshly baked bread and this banana chip bread is no exception. Not to mention that it is made with ripe bananas- so it's the perfect way to use up any bananas that have gone overripe. Moist, delicious, and packed with chocolate chips, this bread is perfect for breakfast, a snack, or dessert.
Ingredients:
- 3 ripe bananas, mashed
- 1/3 cup of melted butter
- 1 teaspoon of baking soda
- Pinch of salt
- 3/4 cup of sugar
- 1 whole egg, beaten
- 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
- 1 1/2 cups of all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup of chocolate chips
Instructions:
- Preheat the oven to 350°F and lightly grease a 9×5 inch loaf pan.
- Mash the bananas in a bowl and set aside.
- Add the melted butter to the mashed bananas and combine well.
- Mix in the baking soda and salt.
- Mix in the sugar, beaten egg, and vanilla extract.
- Fold in the flour and chocolate chips.
- Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and bake for 60-65 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center of the loaf comes out clean.
- Remove from the oven and allow the bread to cool for at least 10-15 minutes before slicing and serving.
