Recipe 1: Ground Beef with Egg Noodles
Ingredients:
- 1 pound ground beef
- 8 ounces egg noodles
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 onion, chopped
- 1 can diced tomatoes
- 1 teaspoon dried basil
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/4 cup Parmesan cheese, grated
Instructions:
- Cook the egg noodles according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
- In a large skillet, melt the butter over medium heat.
- saute the garlic and onion for a few minutes until translucent.
- Add the ground beef to the skillet and cook until no longer pink.
- Stir in the diced tomatoes, dried basil, dried oregano, salt, and black pepper.
- Reduce the heat and let the mixture simmer for about 10 minutes.
- Add the cooked egg noodles to the skillet and toss to combine.
- Sprinkle the grated Parmesan cheese on top and serve.
Recipe 2: Ground Beef with Egg Noodles and Sweet Peas
Ingredients:
- 1 pound ground beef
- 8 ounces egg noodles
- 1 cup sweet peas, thawed if frozen
- 1/2 cup beef broth
- 1 can cream of mushroom soup
- 1/4 cup milk
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/4 cup breadcrumbs
- 1/4 cup Parmesan cheese, grated
Instructions:
- Cook the egg noodles according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
- In a large skillet, brown the ground beef over medium-high heat.
- Add the sweet peas, beef broth, cream of mushroom soup, milk, garlic powder, and black pepper to the skillet.
- Stir the mixture until everything is well combined.
- Bring the mixture to a simmer and let cook for about 5 minutes.
- Add the cooked egg noodles to the skillet and toss to combine.
- In a small bowl, mix together the breadcrumbs and grated Parmesan cheese.
- Sprinkle the breadcrumb mixture over the top of the noodle mixture.
- Broil the skillet in the oven until the breadcrumb topping is golden brown, about 2-3 minutes.
- Serve hot.
