8 Month Baby Food Chart / Indian Food Chart / Meal Plan for 8 Months Old
The following meal plan is suitable for babies that are 8 months old. As always, make sure that your baby has no allergies to any of the ingredients before starting this meal plan.
Recipes
Breakfast
- 1/4 cup of mashed banana
- 1/4 cup of oatmeal cereal
- 2 oz of formula or breastmilk
- Mix the mashed banana, oatmeal cereal, and formula or breastmilk in a bowl.
- Stir until it is a smooth consistency.
- Feed to your baby using a spoon.
Morning Snack
- 1/4 cup of steamed and mashed sweet potato
- Steam the sweet potato until it is soft.
- Mash the sweet potato with a fork or potato masher
- Serve the mashed sweet potato in a bowl and let your baby enjoy!
Lunch
- 1/4 cup of mashed beans (such as black beans or chickpeas)
- 1/4 cup of steamed and pureed vegetables (such as carrots or spinach)
- 1 oz of cubed cheese
- Mix the mashed beans, steamed and pureed vegetables, and cubed cheese in a bowl.
- Stir until it is a smooth consistency.
- Feed to your baby using a spoon.
Afternoon Snack
- 1/4 cup of mashed avocado
- 1/4 cup of diced ripe mango
- Peel and dice the mango into small pieces.
- Mash the avocado using a fork or spoon.
- Mix the mashed avocado and diced mango together in a bowl.
- Feed to your baby using a spoon.
Dinner
- 1/4 cup of mashed sweet potato
- 1/4 cup of pureed chicken or ground beef
- 1/4 cup of pureed green beans or peas
- Steam the sweet potato until it is soft.
- Puree the chicken or ground beef and the green beans or peas in a blender.
- Mash the steamed sweet potato using a fork or potato masher.
- Mix all the ingredients together in a bowl.
- Feed to your baby using a spoon.
Food Chart/ Meal Plan for 12 Months / 1 Year Old Baby
The following meal plan is suitable for babies that are 12 months old. As always, make sure that your baby has no allergies to any of the ingredients before starting this meal plan.
Recipes
Breakfast
- 1/2 cup cooked oatmeal
- 1/4 cup fresh blueberries
- 1/4 cup whole milk yogurt
- Cook oatmeal according to package instructions. Allow to cool.
- Mix in yogurt and blueberries.
- Feed to your baby using a spoon.
Morning Snack
- 1/4 cup sliced apple
- 1 tbsp almond butter
- Slice apple into bite-sized pieces.
- Serve apple slices with almond butter for dipping.
Lunch
- 1/2 cup pureed chicken or turkey
- 1/2 cup steamed carrots or green beans
- 1/4 cup diced sweet potato
- Puree cooked chicken or turkey in the blender until it's a smooth consistency.
- Steam carrots or green beans until soft.
- Dice sweet potato into small pieces and steam until soft.
- Mix everything together in a bowl and serve.
Afternoon Snack
- 1/4 cup whole milk yogurt
- 1/4 cup mixed berries (strawberries, raspberries, blackberries, etc.)
- Rinse berries under cool water and pat dry.
- Serve mixed berries with yogurt.
Dinner
- 1/2 cup mashed sweet potato
- 1/2 cup salmon or tuna
- 1/2 cup steamed broccoli or cauliflower
- Boil or bake the salmon or tuna until cooked through.
- Mash the sweet potato using a fork or potato masher.
- Steam broccoli or cauliflower until soft.
- Mix everything together in a bowl and serve.
