Ingredients
- 1/4 cup Ragi (finger millets) flour
- 1 cup Water
- 1/4 cup Milk (optional)
- 1/4 teaspoon Jaggery or date palm sugar (optional)
Instructions
- Mix ragi flour in water without forming lumps
- Cook on a medium flame (dilute with water or add ragi flour if required)
- Add optional sweetener like jaggery or date palm sugar
- Once cooked, add milk and cook again for 3-4 minutes
- Cool it and serve
Carrot Puree
Ingredients
- 1 Carrot
- Water
Instructions
- Peel off the outer layer of the carrot and chop it into small pieces
- Steam the chopped carrots until they are tender
- Puree the steamed carrots in a blender, adding water as needed to achieve desired consistency
- Cool it and serve
Dal Soup
Ingredients
- 1/4 cup Yellow Moong Dal (split yellow mung bean)
- 2 cups Water
- 1/4 teaspoon Turmeric Powder
- 1/4 teaspoon Cumin Powder
- 1/2 teaspoon Ghee (optional)
- Salt (Optional)
Instructions
- Rinse the yellow moong dal thoroughly and soak it in water for about 30 minutes
- After 30 minutes, drain the water from the dal and add it to a pressure cooker
- Add water, turmeric powder, and cumin powder to the cooker and pressure cook on medium heat for about 4-5 whistles, or until the dal is soft and mushy
- Once the dal is cooked, wait for the pressure to release naturally and then open the cooker
- Add ghee and salt if desired and mix well
- Mash it with a spoon or blend it to make it into a soup
- Cool it and serve
